Arizona Cardinals tight end Zach Ertz (knee) was activated from the PUP list on Tuesday.
Ertz will return to practice after missing the first three weeks of training camp while recovering from left ACL and MCL tears sustained in Week 10 last year. He could be limited initially at practice and it remains to be seen if Ertz will be at full strength for the Cardinals' regular-season opener against the Washington Commanders. The 32-year-old tight end is expected to share some tight end duties with 2022 second-round pick Trey McBride this season. Ertz averaged 7.6 targets, 5.1 receptions, 43.8 yards and caught 4 touchdowns in nine healthy games last season.
Ertz is the TE24 in numberFire's preseason rankings and our models project him for 75.1 targets, 48.0 receptions, 474.7 yards, and 2.43 touchdowns. McBride (TE36) is projected for 37.5 targets, 26.1 receptions, 274.0 yards, and 1.31 touchdowns.
