The Tampa Bay Buccaneers reportedly had undrafted free agent Sean Tucker split first-team running back reps with teammate Rachaad White in Thursday's training camp practice.
Tucker went undrafted in the spring after his pre-draft medicals revealed a concerning issue, but he has since been cleared for football activities and making a good impression on the Buccaneers. After his solid performances as a three-down player in the Bucs' first two preseason games, he is now reportedly splitting first-team reps with sophomore back Rachaad White.
Tucker was the backbone of Syracuse' offense over the past few seasons, finishing his 3 seasons there with 3,182 rushing yards (5.4 yards per carry) and 27 touchdowns on 589 carries with an additional 616 yards and 4 more scores off of 64 passes. He's been quite involved in the Bucs' preseason passing attack as well, and reportedly snagged a touchdown pass from Baker Mayfield in Thursday's practice. He could potentially eat into White's projected workload during the 2023 season.
