Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin (turf toe) is uncertain for Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals, reports Adam Schefter of ESPN.
The Commanders have expressed optimism publicly, but it's still too early to tell if McLaurin will recover in time. McLaurin injured his toe in Monday night's preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens. Jahan Dotson will fill in as the No. 1 wideout if McLaurin is unavailable for the start of the season. Dyami Brown and Curtis Samuel would also be in line for more work.
Operating under the assumption McLaurin plays in all 17 games this season, numberFire's models project him to lead Washington with 135.1 targets, 81.8 receptions, 1,077.0 yards, and 5.42 touchdowns. He's the WR26 in our preseason rankings and could outperform his projections if Sam Howell (QB22) exceeds expectations.
