New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson (undisclosed) is expected to play on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, reports Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald.
Stevenson was absent from Friday's practice, but it doesn't sound like he's dealing with an injury. He could be one of the few true workhorse running backs in 2023, but some people are concerned that Ezekiel Elliott may vulture a few touchdowns at the goal line. If Stevenson surprisingly winds up not being available for Week 1, Elliott will likely be the primary back and Ty Montgomery will handle some pass-catching duties.
Stevenson ($7,000) is the RB13 (RB9 PPR) in numberFire's Week 1 rankings and our models project him for 13.2 FanDuel points, with 14.9 carries, 66.9 rushing yards, 2.8 receptions, and 17.8 receiving yards. Zeke ($5,400) is projected for 6.9 carries and Montgomery ($4,700) is projected for 1.5 targets with Stevenson active.
