Carolina Panthers quarterback Andy Dalton will start in Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
Dalton will make his Panthers debut as the starter after Bryce Young was ruled out with an ankle injury. The 35-year-old veteran doesn't carry much standalone value, but Young has struggled with accuracy through his first two games in the NFL, so Dalton could be a slight upgrade for Adam Thielen, Jonathan Mingo, D.J. Chark, Laviska Shenault, and any other potential pass-catcher on the Panthers. Jake Luton will likely be Dalton's backup on Sunday.
Dalton ($6,200) is the QB25 in numberFire's Week 3 rankings and our models project him for 14.4 FanDuel points, with 236.0 passing yards, 1.14 passing touchdowns, 0.8 interceptions, and 8.5 rushing yards. The Seahawks have the third-worst adjusted pass defense in the NFL through two weeks, according to numberFire’s metrics.
