Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor was a full participant in Thursday's practice for Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans.
Taylor, who said he fully recovered from his ankle injury, has turned in back-to-back full practices since returning from the reserve/PUP list this week. He continues to trend toward making his season debut on Sunday, but the Colts may ease Taylor back into things with a reduced workload. Either way, Zack Moss will no longer be in a workhorse role if Taylor suits up.
Moss racked up a whopping 66 carries over the last three weeks and registered an 85.7% offensive snap share. numberFire's models currently project Taylor for 8.7 and Moss for 10.2 carries in Week 5. The Titans are allowing the fifth-fewest FanDuel points per game to running backs and their run defense is fourth-best in numberFire’s opponent-adjusted NEP model, so Taylor has a tough draw in his first game back.
