New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) is officially questionable for Week 5 against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
Giants head coach Brian Daboll indicated Barkley may be a game-time decision on Sunday afternoon, but he should have a good chance to play after practicing all week. Matt Breida will return to backup duty if Barkley returns from his two-game absence. The Giants averaged less than 200 yards and scored 15 total points without Barkley the past two games.
The Dolphins are allowing the eighth-most FanDuel points per game to running backs and their run defense is second-worst in the league, according to numberFire’s opponent-adjusted NEP model. The Giants are still double-digit dogs on the road, but Barkley is talented enough to provide fantasy production against a susceptible Miami run defense.
