The Indianapolis Colts could place starting quarterback Anthony Richardson (shoulder) on the injured reserve due to his Week 4 shoulder injury.
The Colts and Richardson are getting a second opinion on the rookie's injured shoulder, but the early reports indicate that Richardson suffered an AC joint sprain to his throwing shoulder and could miss multiple weeks. Richardson has had terrible luck with injuries in his first four weeks of NFL action, dealing with knee, brain, and now shoulder injuries. If he does miss time, expect the Colts to lean on Gardner Minshew as their signal caller.
Richardson seemed to be on pace for a really nice afternoon statistically before exiting with his injury, completing 9 of his 12 pass attempts for 98 yards. His physical abilities set him apart from most other quarterbacks in the league, but the fourth-overall pick of this year's draft has left each of his first three starts with injuries to start his career.
