Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders (shoulder) is out for Week 6 against the Miami Dolphins.
Panthers head coach Frank Reich said Sanders is making progress with his shoulder injury and it's not expected to be a long-term issue. Chuba Hubbard will start and handle the bulk of the carries for the Panthers on Sunday. Hubbard out-snapped Sanders 34-33 and out-touched him last game.
The Dolphins are tied for 17th in FanDuel points allowed per game to running backs this season and their run defense ranks fifth-worst in our opponent-adjusted NEP model. Among the 50 backs with at least 25 carries this season, Hubbard is 12th in Rushing NEP per carry (0.12) and Sanders is 48th (negative-0.26).
