Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (hamstring) said he will play Week 7 against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
Freiermuth added he would’ve been able to play in Week 6 if the Steelers weren't on a bye. Prior to sitting out Week 5 with a hamstring injury, Freiermuth caught 8 passes on 13 targets for 53 yards and 2 touchdowns. He drew 4 targets in three of four games and only reached double-digit yardage once.
Pat is averaging 5.3 FanDuel points per game and just 0.59 yards per route run this season, with a meager 5.8-yard average depth of target. The Rams are allowing the third-most FanDuel points per game to tight ends, so Freiermuth will have a plus draw in Week 7. However, Diontae Johnson (hamstring) might be returning from injured reserve and could cut into the tight end's target share.
