Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson (shoulder) is "probably" out for the rest of the season, per Colts owner Jim Irsay.
Richardson was initially expected to miss 4-8 weeks due to his Grade 3 right AC joint sprain, but he's now trending toward undergoing season-ending surgery. Gardner Minshew will make another start on Sunday in a tough matchup against the Cleveland Browns in Week 7. He completed 33-of-55 attempts for 329 yards, 1 touchdown, and 3 interceptions in a 37-20 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 6. Michael Pittman Jr. led the team with 14 targets, 9 catches, and 109 yards. In Minshew's two starts this season, Pittman is first on the Colts with 25 targets and Josh Downs is second with 20 targets.
Minshew is the QB21 in numberFire's Week 7 rankings and our models project him for 13.4 FanDuel points, 204.9 passing yards, 1.00 touchdowns, and 0.7 interceptions. The Browns are allowing the third-fewest FanDuel points per game to quarterbacks this season and they have the top-ranked adjusted pass defense in the NFL, according to numberFire’s metrics.
