New Orleans Saints running back Jamaal Williams (hamstring) is expected to be activated from injured reserve and play in Thursday night's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Williams is eligible to return after missing the minimum four games. He was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable on the official injury report. The 28-year-old veteran will likely compete with rookie Kendre Miller for touches behind lead back Alvin Kamara. He played 49-of-65 offensive snaps and handled 20-of-21 running back opportunities in the opener, but Kamara and Miller were both inactive
Williams has a $7,500 single-game salary and numberFire's models project him for 4.2 FanDuel points, with 5.7 carries and 22.9 rushing yards passing yards. The Jags are 11th in FanDuel points allowed per game to running backs this season and they have the 12th-ranked adjusted run defense in the NFL, according to numberFire’s metrics.
