ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Los Angeles Rams are expected to have Royce Freeman start at running back for them in their Week 7 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, with Darrell Henderson splitting the workload.
With Freeman and Henderson handling the bulk of the running back opportunities, that leaves rookie running back Zack Evans as the odd man out for Week 7. The Rams' backfield has been a productive one for fantasy this season, but neither Freeman nor Henderson has managed to stick around in the league despite multiple opportunities. Either could make for acceptable desperation flex plays, though neither ranks inside of numberFire's top 36 backs for the week.
We have Freeman and Henderson projected for 5.8 and 5 fantasy points each, respectively, though the Rams have been a solid offense this season with plenty of visits to the red zone. Freeman has stuck around on the team's practice squad this season and may have a small edge over Henderson, whom the team had previously played over Cam Akers before releasing due to poor play.
