The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have opened the 21-day practice window for running back Chase Edmonds (knee) to return from the injured reserve.
Edmonds suffered a knee injury in Week 2 and has been on the injured reserve since, but could return as early as this Thursday as the Bucs prepare to face the Buffalo Bills on a short week. The Bucs have been struggling to find success on the ground this year, which could lead to them trying out Edmonds as soon as he's ready.
The Bucs are averaging just 77.8 rushing yards per game this season (fourth-fewest) and have scored just once on the ground. The team has tried multiple backs alongside starter Rachaad White already this year, which could mean Edmonds' chance is coming up next. Edmonds hasn't found much success since leaving the Arizona Cardinals before the 2022 season but could be a worthwhile stash in season-long fantasy leagues in case he outshines his Buccaneers teammates.
