The Tampa Bay Buccaneers listed quarterback Baker Mayfield (knee) as a non-participant for Monday on their estimated practice report ahead of Thursday Night Football game against the Buffalo Bills.
Mayfield was able to play the full game for Tampa Bay in Week 7's win over the Atlanta Falcons so it seems unlikely that he'll miss the team's Week 8 game, even on a short week. Look for Mayfield to log at least one limited practice over the next few days as a sign that he'll suit up against the Bills on Thursday.
Mayfield has been having a solid season in his first campaign with the Bucs, helping to lead the team to a 3-3 record in a win-able division. If the journeyman is forced to sit out in Week 8 there would likely be steep drop off from him to backup quarterback Kyle Trask.
