Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields (thumb) did not practice on Wednesday.
Fields is expected to miss another game in Week 8 against the Los Angeles Chargers. That sets up undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent for his second NFL start. He completed 21 of 29 pass attempts for 162 yards and a touchdown last week in a 30-12 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. Bagent also added 24 rushing yards. His top target was D.J. Moore (9), followed by D'Onta Foreman (5), and Darnell Mooney (4).
Bagent is the QB29 and Moore is the WR15 in numberFire's Week 8 PPR rankings. The Chargers are allowing the most FanDuel points per game to quarterbacks this season and their pass defense is 27th in numberFire’s opponent-adjusted NEP rankings.
