Tennessee Titans running back Tyjae Spears is managing an ankle injury ahead of Thursday's Week 9 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Spears was listed as limited on Monday's estimated practice report, but he should be fine for Thursday's matchup. The third-round rookie rushed 3 times for 27 yards last week and caught 3 passes (4 targets) for 9 yards. He could potentially be a little more involved versus the Steelers if the Titans want to limit Derrick Henry's workload on a short week. Julius Chestnut will spell Henry if Spears suffers a setback.
Spears has a $7,500 salary on Thursday's single-game slate and numberFire's models project him for 6.8 FanDuel points, with 6.1 rushes, 25.0 rushing yards, 2.6 receptions, and 17.9 yards. The Steelers are allowing the eighth-most FanDuel points per game to running backs this season and their run defense is 20th in our opponent-adjusted NEP rankings.
