Washington Commanders wide receiver Curtis Samuel (toe) didn't practice again on Thursday for Week 9 against the New England Patriots.
Samuel tried playing through his toe injury in Week 8, but he left early after a season-low 13 snaps. He caught 4 passes on 4 targets for 22 yards before departing. Dyami Brown and Jamison Crowder will be in line for more work on Sunday versus the Patriots if Samuel is sidelined.
Samuel is third on the Commanders in targets (43) this season and second in receptions (35) and yards (332). He has a 15.0% target share and is averaging 1.41 yards per route run with a 7.1-yard average depth of target. The Patriots are 21st in FanDuel points allowed per game to wide receivers and their pass defense is 27th in numberFire's opponent-adjusted NEP rankings.
