Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford (right thumb) could return for Week 11 against the Seattle Seahawks, per head coach Sean McVay.
The Rams are on bye Week 10, so Stafford may only miss one start. That would be an obvious upgrade for the offense after Brett Rypien was terrible as the replacement starter on Sunday in a 20-3 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Carson Wentz is reportedly expected to sign with the Rams to add some depth at quarterback.
Rypien completed 13 of 28 passes for 130 yards and an interception in Week 9. He also rushed three times for 19 yards and lost a fumble. Among all quarterbacks to throw the ball last week, Rypien averaged the fourth-worst Passing Net Expected Points per attempt. Stafford ranks 12th in Passing NEP per attempt this season out of the 34 quarterbacks with 50-plus attempts.
