Chicago Bears running back Khalil Herbert (ankle) will not play in Week 10 against the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night.
The Bears didn't activate Herbert to the active roster on Thursday afternoon, so he will have to wait until at least next week to return from injured reserve. D'Onta Foreman is expected to lead the backfield again on Thursday night, but Herbert's absence could result in more work for rookie Roschon Johnson.
numberFire's models project Foreman for 11.3 FanDuel points on Thursday, with 16.4 carries, 69.9 rushing yards, 1.0 receptions, and 6.9 receiving yards. Roschon is projected for 6.3 FanDuel points on 8.3 touches. The Panthers are allowing the second-most FanDuel points per game to running backs this season, and according to our opponent-adjusted rankings, they have the worst run defense in the NFL.
