New Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen told media members Monday that quarterback Derek Carr (shoulder, concussion) will be "all good" when the team emerges from its Week 11 bye.
Carr exited the Saints' Week 10 game in the second half after suffering a concussion and a possible shoulder injury, but testing after the game revealed no further damage to his already banged up throwing shoulder. Carr may enter into the league's concussion protocols over the bye week, but it sounds like he will be expected to resume starting for the team when they take on the Atlanta Falcons in Week 12.
Carr has not been a strong option at quarterback for fantasy football this season, ceding goal line opportunities to hybrid quarterback/tight end Taysom Hill at various points. The team does not seem inclined to bench him for his middling play, though, and especially not after watching backup Jameis Winston throw multiple interceptions while filling in for Carr in Week 10.
