Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield (ankle) could be limited at practice for Week 13 against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, reports Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.
Mayfield tweaked his ankle in Week 12 against the Indianapolis Colts and missed two plays. The Buccaneers are optimistic Mayfield will be able to play on Sunday versus the Panthers, but they might err on the side of caution and manage the veteran's practice reps throughout the week. He completed 20 of 30 pass attempts for 199 yards versus the Colts, with 2 touchdowns and an interception.
Mayfield is the QB18 in numberFire's Week 13 fantasy rankings and our models project him for 14.9 FanDuel points, with 214.4 passing yards, 1.24 touchdowns, 0.8 interceptions, 4.4 carries, and 16.2 rushing yards. The Panthers are allowing the fourth-fewest FanDuel points per game to quarterbacks this season, but that's mostly because they're getting gashed on the ground. Their pass defense is 21st in numberFire's opponent-adjusted efficiency rankings.
