Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Christian Kirk (core muscle) will undergo surgery and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Based on that timeline, Kirk might be able to return this season if the Jaguars make a deep playoff run. Parker Washington stepped in for Kirk on Monday night and caught 6 passes on 6 targets for 61 yards and a touchdown while registering a 59 percent offensive snap share. He will likely run in three-wide sets with Calvin Ridley and Zay Jones in Week 14 versus the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
numberFire's models project Washington for 5.0 targets in a tough Week 14 matchup. The Browns have the second-best pass defense and second-best overall defense in the league this season, according to numberFire's opponent-adjusted efficiency rankings. They also allow the third-fewest FanDuel points per game to opposing wide receivers.
