Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz (hamstring) returned to practice on Wednesday for Week 14 versus the New York Jets.
Schultz didn't practice or play last week, but he's on track to return for Sunday's matchup with the Jets. Brevin Jordan will likely revert to the backup tight end role if Schultz is active. The Texans have extra targets available after placing Tank Dell on injured reserve with an ankle injury.
The Jets have the seventh-best pass defense in the NFL, according to numberFire's opponent-adjusted efficiency rankings, but they allow the 10th-most FanDuel points per game to tight ends. Schultz averaged 6.4 targets, 4.4 receptions, and 59.8 yards in his last five healthy games, and he scored 3 touchdowns in that span.
