New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr (concussion/rib/shoulder) is listed as a limited participant on Thursday's practice report for Week 14 versus the Carolina Panthers.
Carr is somehow trending toward playing on Sunday, despite being in concussion protocol for the second time in less than a month. Jameis Winston is expected to start for the first time this season if Carr is unavailable. Taysom Hill would also be more involved at quarterback, but he hasn't practiced this week due to foot and hand injuries.
The Panthers' pass defense ranks 20th in numberFire's opponent-adjusted efficiency rankings, but their run defense is the worst in the league, so the Saints may just elect to pound the rock. They allow the third-fewest FanDuel points per game to quarterbacks and second-most to running backs.
