The Cleveland Browns are not "planning to make an announcement on Joe Flacco" before the team's Week 14 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports.
The Browns are being coy with naming their starting quarterback, which could either be Joe Flacco or Dorian Thompson-Robinson at this point. The team released journeyman P.J. Walker earlier in the week to make room for Flacco (practice squad) on the regular roster, but it's still technically possible that Flacco plays behind Thompson-Robinson. Flacco played better than the rookie in his sole start this year, but the team may want to get an extended look at their younger quarterback.
Fantasy managers would likely prefer to see Flacco under center at 1:00, as the veteran was able to help multiple Browns players to solid finishes in Week 13. By comparison, Thompson-Robinson has thrown for fewer than 170 yards in each of his starts this year, taking the air out of the Browns' offense.
