Indianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss' x-rays returned negative results for the shoulder injury he suffered in the team's Week 15 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Moss was forced out of Saturday's contest after suffering what appeared to be a concerning shoulder injury, but it sounds like the veteran back avoided suffering anything too severe and could suit up as early as Week 16. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter Moss "plans to try to play" but will see how he progresses during the week before making a decision.
Moss has stepped up into a near every-down role for the Colts without Jonathan Taylor (thumb) in the lineup, but the team did not display similar trust with his backups after his early Week 15 exit. If neither Taylor nor Moss suit up against the Atlanta Falcons, expect the Colts to continue splitting carries between Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson.
