Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence is making progress with his shoulder injury, per head coach Doug Pederson.
Lawrence suffered an AC joint sprain in Sunday's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Pederson said the Jaguars still haven't decided if Lawrence will practice on Wednesday, leaving the quarterback uncertain for Week 17 versus the Carolina Panthers. C.J. Beathard is next on the depth chart if Lawrence is ruled out for the first time in his NFL career.
Lawrence is currently the QB11 in numberFire's Week 17 rankings and our models project him for 17.3 FanDuel points. The Panthers are only allowing the fourth-fewest FanDuel points per game to quarterbacks, but they allow the fourth-most to running backs, so the Jaguars may look to rely more on Travis Etienne if Lawrence is less than full strength. Per numberFire's opponent-adjusted efficiency rankings, Carolina has the No. 21 pass defense and No. 30 run defense in the league.
