The Minnesota Vikings are signing running back Aaron Jones to a one-year, $7 million contract.
Jones will stay in the NFC North after being released by the Green Bay Packers on Monday. He was hobbled by injuries for most of last season, but Jones finished with five straight 100-yard rushing performances, including two playoff games. Jones should be the favorite to lead the Vikings' backfield in 2024, with Ty Chandler mixing in behind him.
Jones averaged 12.8 FanDuel points per game last season, with 142 carries for 656 yards and 2 touchdowns, plus 30 catches (43 targets) for 233 yards and another touchdown. Among the 49 backs with at least 100 carries, Jones ranked No. 9 in Rushing Net Expected Points per carry.
