The Cincinnati Bengals are signing tight end Mike Gesicki to a one-year deal worth up to $3.25 million, reports Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Gesicki is set for greener pastures after a one-year stint with the New England Patriots. He should benefit from both superior quarterback play and less competition at tight end in Cincinnati.
Gesicki caught 29 passes on 45 targets for 244 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Patriots last season. He only averaged 0.80 yards per route run, but that efficiency should improve with Joe Burrow and the Bengals.
