The San Diego Chargers placed wide receiver Keenan Allen on injured reserve with a torn right ACL, ending his season.
If there's good news, it's that Allen's other knee ligaments are reportedly unharmed. Allen is still only 24, but has seen his games played drop in three straight seasons, suffering severe injuries to both knees. He'll be a major durability question mark in 2017. Travis Benjamin will take over as the top receiver for San Diego.
Allen picked up 6.98 Reception Net Expected Points on seven targets in Week 1 before going down with the injury, per numberFire Live.
