Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins (questionable, foot) "wants to play and probably will" on Thursday night against the New York Jets, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The matchup with a rapidly declining Darrelle Revis is attractive, but the questionable health status on a short week is not. Watkins passed the eye test in Week 1 and was in on 84 percent of the Bills' snaps, catching four of his six targets. He's on the WR2 bubble with plenty of upside for Week 2.
Watkins averaged 0.61 Reception Net Expected Points per target in Week 1. That ranks him 41st among the 75 wideouts to see at least five targets in the first week of the season. We currently expect him to catch 3 passes for 46 yards and 0.35 touchdowns against the Jets Thursday night.
