Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy had surgery on his dislocated thumb Monday, but he is expected to play Week 12, Pro Football Talk reports.
McCoy reportedly could have reentered the game, but the training staff could not relocate his thumb on the sideline or in the locker room. He will almost certainly sit out some practice time this week, but McCoy should be tentatively expected to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Mike Gillislee will get the nod if McCoy cannot go, and he likely will see a larger share of the snaps either way, especially if McCoy's ability to catch the ball is compromised.
McCoy injured his thumb in the first half and never returned to the game, earning just 2.15 Net Expected Points on five carries, per numberFire Live.
