Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Jacquizz Rodgers will be in "a more expanded role" this week against the New Orleans Saints, according to offensive coordinator Todd Monken.
Rodgers returned in Week 13 after a four-game absence, rushing seven times for 29 yards while adding another 21 receiving yards on one catch. He finished out the game's final three drives ahead of starter Doug Martin, but Martin is thought to be healthy. Even with more work in a plus matchup, Rodgers isn't a recommended start this Sunday, although he's worth owning where available. In related news, Charles Sims (knee) is expected to be activated from injured reserve this week.
numberFire's models currently expect Rodgers to see a similar workload in Week 14, projecting him to rush seven times for 35 yards with 0.24 touchdowns against the Saints, adding another catch for nine yards through the air.
