Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr (broken leg) will have a six-to-eight week recovery timetable after he undergoes surgery on Tuesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
The timetable means Carr could potentially return for the Super Bowl if he hits the absolute lowest part of the range, but he is likely out for the rest of the season. Matt McGloin will lead Oakland into the playoffs with Carr sidelined.
The only year McGloin had over 100 drop backs was 2013, when he earned 0.03 Passing Net Expected Points per drop back. That was 24th among 45 qualifying passers that year.
