Washington quarterback Kirk Cousins isn't going anywhere, team president Bruce Allen adamantly professed on Tuesday.
"Yeah. Kirk is our quarterback," Allen said. "He's played well the last two years. I know there's other speculation, but it doesn't come from [us]." The "speculation" is that the San Francisco 49ers might make a run at Cousins whenever Kyle Shanahan is named their head coach. Shanahan coached Cousins in D.C., and San Francisco needs a quarterback. Unfortunately for them, it doesn't sound like Cousins is getting out of Washington.
Cousins ranked sixth in Passing Net Expected Points per drop back among the 39 quarterbacks to drop back at least 100 times in 2016.
