The Jacksonville Jaguars acquired left tackle Branden Albert from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a 2018 seventh-round pick.
This deal is about as official as it gets after executive vice president Tom Coughlin said he does not "see any reason" why the trade will not go through when the new league year begins on March 9. It is still unclear if Albert took a pay cut on the $8.9 million he was scheduled to make with the Dolphins. Albert is 32, has averaged 12 games a season since 2011, and appears to be trending downward.
The Jaguars' offensive line was responsible for allowing the eighth-most Sack NEP in the league in 2016.
