Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert spoke about suspended wide receiver Martavis Bryant in the past tense on Wednesday while appearing at the Combine.
"Martavis was a great asset to us when he was available," Colbert said. This doesn't confirm the Steelers will move on from Bryant, but it is the second time now someone from the Steelers' front office said they won't be counting on the receiver's services. In late January, president Art Rooney II said he wasn't "sure at this point you can count on him," in when asked about Bryant. He's still waiting to be reinstated.
Bryant turned in a respectable 2015 season, when he was last on the field, and his 0.66 Reception Net Expected Points per target ranked 58th among the 87 wideouts with at least 50 targets on the year.
