Minnesota Vikings second-round rookie running back Dalvin Cook "has a chance to be special," head coach Mike Zimmer stated.
It's especially notable because Zimmer isn't known for hyperbole. "Now, he's got some things he's got to work on, like all young backs, but I've been very impressed with him this spring." With Latavius Murray (ankle surgery) having missed all of OTAs and minicamp, Cook has been able to soak up first-team reps.
Our models project Cook to lead all Minnesota backs in fantasy production this year, with 627 rushing yards and 4.71 touchdowns on 148 carries, adding 291 receiving yards and 0.92 touchdowns on 35 catches.
