New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman is out for the 2017 season with a torn ACL.
Confirming the fears of many Patriots fans and fantasy football owners, MMQB's Albert Breer reports that an MRI revealed a "complete tear" of the ACL in Edelman's right knee. He will undergo surgery and start rehab while a combination Chris Hogan, Malcolm Mitchell and Danny Amendola absorb some of the 31-year-old's targets. This might also mean more looks for Brandin Cooks.
Going, on average, with the 7th pick of the 6th round in standard drafts, our models had Edelman down for 76.2 targets, 48.0 catches and 506.0 yards prior to today's confirming news. Cooks will almost certainly move up from WR11 in our Draft Kit.
