Chicago Bears wide receiver Cameron Meredith is believed to have suffered a torn ACL during Sunday's third preseason contest, reports Pam Oliver of FOX Sports.
This confirms what was expected after Meredith went down with a gruesome injury on Sunday afternoon against the Tennessee Titans. With Meredith out for the year, an already thin receiving group in Chicago just got even worse, as Kevin White and Kendall Wright are now penciled in as the Bears' two starting wide receivers. Meredith's injury is also a slight downgrade for Jordan Howard's fantasy outlook, as it will be easier for opposing defenses to stack the box and sell out against the run.
With Meredith out of the equation, numberFire's models believe White will lead the Bears in receiving, with 58.4 receptions for 723.2 yards and 3.22 touchdowns in 2017. He's our WR54 overall, but Wright isn't far behind as the fantasy WR59.
