Houston Texans left tackle Duane Brown has been traded to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for cornerback Jeremy Lane, a 2018 5th-round pick and a 2019 second-round pick.
Brown held out for the first seven weeks of this season in hopes of getting a new contract, before returning to start his first game of the year in Week 8 against the Seahawks. He also expressed his displeasure with owner Bob McNair's comments earlier in the week. Brown should immediately slide in as the starting left tackle in Seattle.
Through 7 games, the Seahawks' 3.7 yards per carry is tied for the sixth-worst average in the league, and Brown received Pro Football Focus' seventh-best run blocking grade among all tackles in 2016.
