Denver Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler will start against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 9, head coach Vance Joseph announced Wednesday morning.
This was the expectation after Trevor Siemian turned in another abysmal performance on Monday Night Football in Week 8. Osweiler isn't necessarily an upgrade, but Joseph apparently felt like he had to make a change. Paxton Lynch will likely make some starts eventually this season for the Broncos, but Joseph says last year's first-round pick hasn't practiced enough yet since returning from a shoulder injury that kept him out for the first half of the season.
If you decided to roll the dice with Osweiler for a bye-heavy Week 9, numberFire's models project him to complete 22.3-of-35.6 passes for 229.5 yards with 1.46 touchdowns and 1.3 interceptions versus the Eagles, which would yield 14.1 FanDuel points at a cost of $6,000. He's the QB21 in our weekly fantasy rankings.
