New Orleans Saints wide receiver Cameron Meredith (knee) is hopeful that he will be cleared for the start of training camp.
Mereith tore his ACL last season, and back in May the Saints commented that he was "way ahead of schedule" in his recovery. If he can't go in the start of training camp, Ted Ginn could push for a bigger role while rookie Tre'Quan Smith may see some additional opportunity. With a chance that he's ready for training camp, expect Meredith to be ready for game action by Week 1.
As a sophomore in 2016 (his only full season in the NFL), Meredith turned 97 targets into 66 receptions, 888 yards and 4 touchdowns. Our models project him for 39.7 receptions, 513.7 yards and 3.1 touchdowns on 68.1 targets this year.
