NHL
Room for Expansion: Predicting the Vegas Golden Knights' Roster in 2017
The NHL Expansion Draft is coming fast. Where do the Golden Knights stand, and who may be playing in the desert come next season?

New York Islanders

The New York Islanders are one of the few teams that, for the purpose of this exercise, will protect any combination of eight players, and that is because of the up-and-coming defenseman Ryan Pulock, who is one the Islanders cannot afford to lose. Under that format, it brings about the slam dunk pick of Ryan Strome -- who is the older brother to Dylan Strome. Ryan has been disappointing in his first few years in the league, but some of that may be due to a less-than-ideal fit in the Isles' system. From nightly benching to being put on the wing when he's naturally a center, Ryan hasn't produced up to his draft potential. A change of scenery could be just what he needs, and Vegas would probably love to roll the dice on him.
