Players to target: Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Jordan Eberle, and Oscar Klefbom
The top line for this Edmonton Oilers team is obviously a great play, but there is also a case to be made for the second line. Nugent-Hopkins ($5,400 on FanDuel) and Eberle ($6,300 on FanDuel) are both cheap compared to what they are capable of. While their other line mate, Benoit Pouliot, isn't an ideal one, they are still putting up 54.8 Corsi For per 60 minutes and are all on the second power play unit.
Oscar Klefbom has been putting the puck on the net lately, with shot totals that include numbers like 5, 5, 6 and 9 over his last 7 games. We're accustomed to seeing this out of guys like Erik Karlsson and Brent Burns, and Klefbom is about 60% of their price on FanDuel ($5,100).
While he doesn't put up point totals like Karlsson and Burns, he quarterbacks the second unit with Nugent-Hopkins and Eberle, making him a great correlation play.
Each of the players to target have an Individual Corsi For per 60 minutes around 14 -- Nugent-Hopkins at 14.6, Eberle at 13.9, and Klefbom at 14. We should see these guys attempt a bunch of shots against Pekka Rinne, who has been poor against high danger chances (75.4 High Danger save %).
This is another cheap stack on one of the NHL's best offenses playing a team without their two best defensemen in Roman Josi and P.K. Subban.
