Players to target: Andreas Athanasiou, Frans Nielsen, and Thomas Vanek
This trio has posted 62.9 Corsi For per 60 minutes, a 56 Corsi For Percentage, and 11.2 Scoring Chances for per 60 minutes this year. It's hard to not play Anthanasiou based on the season he is having, scoring as many even-strength goals as some of the top players in the league.
Although Athanasiou won't play on the power play (this has changed mid-game multiple times), he will still have multiple chances to score with some solid linemates who can make plays.
Vanek is having a bounce-back year, accounting for 36 points in 43 games (with 10 of those points coming on the power play). Nielsen, Vanek, and Athanasiou will match up against the second and 3rd lines for the St. Louis Blues, who will play their last game of a 5-game road trip in Detroit.
Patrik Berglund's line is allowing 53 Corsi Against per 60 minutes and the 3rd line for the Blues consists of 2 rookies who have each played under 10 games in their careers. Goalie Carter Hutton (80.9 High Danger Save Percentage) should see a bunch of shots from Nielsen's line, making them a great cheap stacking option.
