Players to target: Evgeny Kuznetsov, Alex Ovechkin, and Tom Wilson
The top line for the Washington Capitals gets an excellent matchup against what's left of the New York Rangers' checking line, a group which gave up plenty of opportunities -- especially early -- and two goals to the Capitals on Monday night.
The third line allows more than 36 Scoring Chances For per 60 minutes and almost 15 High-Danger Chances per 60. This Capitals line struck twice in the first period on Monday night, and the Rangers allow 3.39 goals per game away from home. That keeps the top two lines in play.
If you're cash-strapped, you should give some consideration to the Capitals' third line. Lars Eller is one of the better offensive third-line centers (37 points in 75 games) and sees some power play time as well (6 points in the last 30 contests).
