A good chunk of you played daily fantasy football this year, and I'd be willing to bet a significant portion have also tried out daily fantasy basketball and baseball. But hockey? Hockey?
It's time to give it a try over on FanDuel because it's a ton of fun.
And our analysis and projections can help you win. To help, let's take a look at some goalies, high-priced skaters, and lower-priced players to target for today's slate.
Goalie to Target
Sergei Bobrovsky ($9,400): The Columbus Blue Jackets' goalie is expected to face the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night. Bobrovsky has been all or nothing at times but mostly has been on his game. He comes in riding a five-game winning streak, which includes two shutout performances. The Bruins can pepper a goalie very well, so do not be surprised to see a 35- to 40-shot game from Boston. That would be music to the owners who roster Bobrovsky on Tuesday, as this is a goalie who thrives on a rhythm like few other goaltenders in this league. Fellow goalies Pekka Rinne ($8,400) and Darcy Kuemper ($8,200) are excellent options, especially for cash games.
High-Priced Skaters
Tyler Seguin ($8,200): The sludge err sloppy no-rest matchups seem to be everywhere tonight. However, Seguin draws a nice matchup against the Philadelphia Flyers. Seguin fired 51 shots on over 80 attempts in his last ten contests and plays a Flyers team that is deficient on the penalty kill and pretty well deficient across the board. His production has slowed down some, but a 77.5% road penalty kill that gives up 3.41 goals per game becomes quite an intriguing play. Connor McDavid ($9,200) and Nathan MacKinnon ($8,400) are solid options on this large Tuesday slate.
David Pastrnak ($8,300): Pastrnak can strike for multiple goals at any time and the game against the New York Rangers was an illustration of that fact. He generates 4 to 5 scoring chances or more a game. Yes, the pressure is rising quickly, but Pastrnak delivered 11 real-world points in the matter of four games. Again, the shot volume has been around three shots a game of late, which is good enough. Again, Boston matches up well against Columbus. However, this is the first time Pastrnak has faced the Blue Jackets all season; this should be some matchup. Viktor Arvidsson ($7,600) and Leon Draisaitl have solid goal potential on Tuesday night against sloppy defenses.
Value Skaters
Luke Kunin ($3,600): Kunin is a top-six utility plug that can generate shots and blocked shots well. He plays 17 to 18 minutes a night and can easily rack up 3 to 4 shots and a block or two. With the possible return of Zach Parise and a not rested Winnipeg Jets team, Minnesota has some options to be utilized on Tuesday night. As for stacks, those will have to wait until some line confirmations are more concrete. However, Kunin is quite the value play. Even Christian Dvorak is worth a risky punt at under $3,500 on Tuesday night.
Taro Hirose ($3,600): Hirose goes up against Pittsburgh, which can easily get drawn into a higher-event game. The forward had a doughnut against New Jersey but bounced back against the Bruins with a goal, four shots, and two blocks. The young winger keeps exceeding value, and that is the name of the game at his price. Among other similarly-priced choices, Victor Olofsson ($3,500) plays on the Buffalo Sabres top line, and his speed and shot mesh well with Jack Eichel.
