NHL Daily Fantasy Helper: Tuesday 10/22/19
Sidney Crosby stands out on a robust 10-game schedule on Tuesday night. Who else should you roster in NHL DFS?

A good chunk of you played daily fantasy football this year, and I'd be willing to bet a significant portion have also tried out daily fantasy basketball and baseball. But hockey? Hockey?

It's time to give it a try over on FanDuel because it's a ton of fun.

And our analysis and projections can help you win. To help, let's take a look at some goalies, high-priced skaters, and lower-priced players to target for today's slate.

Goalie to Target

Alexandar Georgiev ($7,500): The New York Rangers goalie will face the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday night. The Rangers are amongst the worst teams in Corsi For (30th) and in shots allowed (31st) at 36.8 per contest. Aside from the Artemi Panarin line, New York generates the least number of chances in terms of percentage (41.96%), which puts pressure on their defense. Their expected goals for differential is already -5 on the season (also last). Jimmy Howard ($7,100) is a decent but high-risk GPP play going up against the Vancouver Canucks at home tonight.

High-Priced Skaters

Sidney Crosby ($8,700): The center should have another great matchup against the Florida Panthers tonight. Florida yields 3.63 goals per contest. At home, Florida's numbers are worse and they allow almost 34 shots per 60. Crosby has 15 real-world points in their last nine meetings against Florida (including 10 goals). Also, he has 30 shots on net and 27 scoring chances. Pittsburgh's power play has shown a good amount of success, converting nearly a third of them over the previous two seasons. Other center options on Tuesday night could include Connor McDavid ($9,300) and Mika Zibanejad ($7,700).

Patrick Kane ($8,200): When does Kane truly break out? He does have 15-plus FanDuel points in each of his last three contests. However, we have not seen that Kane outburst just yet. There have been too many games this year where the winger has just two or three shots on goal. As a matter of fact, he has only had three-plus shots once, and that was a nine-shot effort against Columbus. Vegas yields over 36 shots per 60 on the road and is on the back end of a back-to-back, so maybe tonight is the night. David Pastrnak ($8,700) is our other high-priced recommendation, going up against a Toronto Maple Leafs team that gives up more than a goal a game to Pastrnak over their previous five meetings.

Value Skaters

Dominik Kubalik ($3,800): There is something about this young player that screams potential. Kubalik fired 10 shots on net against the Washington Capitals on Sunday and scored a goal, too. He was just everywhere on the ice, creating six scoring chances and causing Washington's defense to constantly chase him around. Do not be surprised to see his ice time rise to around 15 minutes a night soon. Denis Malgin ($3,500) is an intriguing choice for Tuesday night, especially if he continues to play 16 minutes.

Christian Dvorak ($3,700): The Arizona center has seen his ice time rise the past three contests as he has seen more power-play time along with second-line duties. He has three goals in seven games on 12 shots and 14 scoring chances. His shot output hit a season high of three over the weekend. That is the key. Dvorak has a nice wrist shot but must hit the net with greater frequency. He has solid chemistry with Nick Schmaltz, and that could make for a mini-stack of sorts tonight. Michael Amadio ($3,700) is worth a look from the Los Angeles Kings as he gets second-unit power play time.
